Prayer Journal
10/17/20
Dear God,
Thank You for holding me so dearly in Thy keep and gently showing me the errors of my past. I am grateful to be in a place where obedience doesn’t come with a challenge and that I have the clarity to do whatever it takes to be closer to You.
Proverbs 10:17
Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.
I somehow suspect that it is not so easy for most people to follow You.
Luke 16:13
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
It used to be challenging for me too, due to my encounters with the worst kinda Christians. However I woke up one day realising that the greatest hurdle ever was, came from inside me. Had I been a younger me, my latest episode with another believer would have completely destroyed my journey with You.
2 Timothy 3:5
having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
I live in a sense of gratitude now, that You appeared to me and whisked me off on a new adventure, getting closer to You was the breakthrough I prayed for but never expected.
Thank You for this precious life and journey.
Amen.
