Prayer Journal
7/8/20
Dear Father,
You have been incredible at planting Your good agents in my path. The people You appointed to nourish my journey and the stories they shared. This is clear, I recognise the odd pattern of how You work in my life and showing up even stronger in recent weeks – and I am so grateful. I fully expect You to visit me in dreams and visions, and sharpening my discernment. Thank You for following up with affirmations too.
Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.
You are my indispensable resource for daily living.
Habakkuk 2:2
Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
As much as I have been unwell about my recent bad memories, I can see how each incident plays a purpose in this part of my journey. I cannot rush my heart to go anywhere I am not meant to go anyway.
Habakkuk 2:3
For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
Your vision will be fulfilled, although it is not according to my human time-table.
Psalm 37:7
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
I will learn to still my heart when it hurts from injury.
Habakkuk 2:4
“See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness—
I vow to cooperate with You in whatever way I can, to learn to be ever more faithful and obedient as the child of Your kingdom, adopting the very image of You in my life. I will listen to every word You say. Living out Your word and gracefully leaning into You as my garden becomes more and more abundant with fruits.
Amen.
