Dear Father,
I want to express my gratitude for gifting me with an acute sense of conscience through the Holy Spirit. You have never left me. Whenever I commit a sin against another, I know it and there was no way I can deny that.
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Thank You for giving me faith and strength to always own up to my flaws and faults, and to be honest to others about it. Having Your presence training my gut instincts since I was so young, has served me well in the world.
James 3:2
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
I remember the first time I ever wrote a note to my class teacher, that I wanted to turn over a new leaf, with a strong suggestion to place me next to better classmates. In my confession, I expressedly asked not to sit with underperforming students – I was 9 years old. She was really kind to me and gave me a chance – I was seated at a new location where there were classmates whom I could look up to, albeit they were slightly snobby to me at first.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
The ability to change is something I am most grateful for, all these years, it assisted me through failures to arrive at the foot of success. Having the courage to humbly ask for whatever I needed without the fear of rejection, was also very useful.
Isaiah 54:4
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
These factors truly kept me going, while You have placed unlimited favours in my path. It kept me faithful, it made me bravely walk away from circumstances that were not godly, gut feelings that didn’t serve me, and people who were not from You.
Ephesians 4:22-24
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
I can see You making things happen around me again. And due to this, it is easy to place my entire trust in You. I recognise and acknowledge Your hand in my life. Thank You! I will obey You with all my heart.
Proverbs 16:20-22
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. The wise in heart are called discerning, and gracious words promote instruction. Prudence is a fountain of life to the prudent, but folly brings punishment to fools.
Allow me to be continuously near You at all times, without effort, and live out Your words with little effort. Thank You for involving me in Your big plans. May all my friendships, business partnerships, secular dealings be in Your hands. I shall be eternally Yours, so use me to make the world better for everyone, and bring glory to You.
1 Peter 4:10-11
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Please allow me a comfortable life free of emotional strife and energy draining relationships. Send me the godly man I deserve to walk with me for the rest of my journey.
Amen.
