It is amazing how time passes by fleetingly and we find ourselves left with moments; milestones, memories, regrets, improvements, deterioration, passed youth, maturity, lessons, wisdom, achievements, turbulences, peace, episodes, adventures and etcetera.
Without realizing the power time has over us, we let our youth be robbed from us by an intangible thing called time. It is a warp of a certain dimension that perhaps another world may not be able to describe. It is 3 dimensional.
Today, I went to a ‘glam’ event, where I met all my old acquaintances who used to know me when I was a ‘glam’ girl. I never realized how much I have changed until I meet the old faces who used to recognize me. It is ironic how I am never able to keep track to my own changes.
It is satisfying to know that once upon a time, I coveted a change and made it. Perhaps, it is not the most ideal changes of all, but things have come a long long way since I realzed how. I no longer know how I did it. My life did not leave me much of a choice and I was driven from one thing to another. Often, things do not look the way it was, and would seem like a rather unruly path but once in a while, I get pleasantly surprised at the gem or the silver lining behind my clouds.
I have never seen CLOUD 9 and I do not have a fairy godmother. Neither has things been particularly beautiful for me all of the time. If it was not survival issues, it is often something else that isn’t ideal in my life. There is always one thing or the other. Despite that, sometimes I suspect that without these hurdles in my life, I would have perhaps remained complacent and perhaps deteriorated in more ways than one, instead of moving onwards and proving disbelievers wrong.
Time is an essence nobody could buy and no one can afford to pay for. With it, one is well equipped to build a life, a future, a change and many beautiful memories. Equipped with each one of us, is a successful human being. It really depends what you try to make out of your own life. If you have to adopt a winning attitude, chances are, you will never lose out.
Be smart and let time be a friend! Do not procrastinate about living the life you want.
