20 years since that fated spine surgery
20 years ago.. I lost my legs in a 6-hour surgery on October 1st 2003. It was a foreboding task for my neurosurgeon Dr. Richard Veerapen and his medical team at Sunway Medical Centre. They opened up my spine to discover a huge mess of scar tissues, old tumours, new...

Message of hope during troubled times
Each of the 62 ship’s wheels represents a vessel with hundreds of sailors, who have been murdered before they could find their way back to their loved ones, and in today’s context, also a reflection of the fears of those who have tested positive for Covid-19.

The collection of maritime artifacts that her father had placed in a makeshift attic space pleaded to be redeemed.

In memory of Datuk Wong Saiwan
2012 was a very difficult year for me – I was contemplating suicide. That year 2 cats came into my life; one was feimao Saiwan and the other was Harry Putter. It was only apt that I gifted the golden bottle of Johnny Walker that had my name engraved on it to Saiwan. The true test of friendship continues long after one is gone.. loyalty sticks forever.
Farewell Saiwan
You have shown me such kindness since the day we met and the world mourns your departure. Out of so many interviews you arranged for me over the years, this is the first and the best because you personally penned it to celebrate my birthday month.
